Our other agenda for that friday was to also take her to the aquarium. She loves the one we have at home. Part of our morning routine was to feed the goldfishes. I would call out "Fishy, fishy, fishy" and watch Isa's eyes widen and happily tap her hands against the glass. Sometimes, unbeknowst to her father, she would stick her hand into the tank and gleefully touch the goldfishes as they swam past her tiny little fingers. We looked forward to showing her something bigger and better. The South Carolina Aquarium.
We had only been there once before and that was when it first opened. I was looking forward to seeing it again as well. So off we went accompanied by my sis Emily with camera and video in tow. We wanted to capture Isa's reaction when she saw all the big fishies for the first time. The aquarium did not disappoint us. From the moment we got there her shouts of excitement echoed through the rooms. " A Yah, Yah Yah!" She clapped her hands, she jumped for joy, she raised her hands in the air as if to say "Oh Happy Day!" We watched and recorded as her eyes filled with wonder as she watch the sea creatures swim by. She probably would've jumped into the water on some of the open tanks if we were not holding her.
I can't say enough how wondrous it is to see a baby experience things for the first time.
The joy in it is undescribable. I look forward to showing her many more.
